What are you hours?

How do I get there?

How fast do the Karts go?
Fast, the kart speed is set by the gearing. Currently, the karts achieve max speed of 50 at the end of the tunnel stretch.

How well does the Kart handle?
The kart can pull in excess of 1.5 lateral G's in a given turn.

Are the brakes front or rear wheel or both?
Rear brakes only.

Do I have to bring my own kart?
No. All equipment is provided. Snell/Dot-approved helmet, karting suit, helmet sock, and neck brace are provided for all drivers.

Can I bring my own helmet?
Yes but it must be, full faced with a shield or goggles and at least Snell/Dot approved and it will be checked. If the sticker is gone, it will not be allowed.

What apparel is required?
You are not required to wear a driving suit. You can wear your street cloths but no excessively baggy and no open-ended shoes.

How long is a race?
It depends upon the race format. An Arrive & Drive session is 3 laps of practice/qualifying and 13 laps of racing. A race takes about 12 to 15 minutes of driving time.

How many karts can race at once?
Up to 13 karts will be on the track at any given time. This is not Malibu, this is real racing.



How long is the track?
The track is 1200 feet or a quarter mile and is laid out in a road course, not an oval.

How wide is the track?

The track is up to 30 feet wide in most places. Enough for 3-5 karts side by side.

Is the track slippery?
No.This is not a slick track. The grip of the track is carefully controlled during construction to give a balance of adhesion and safety. The feel of the track is similar to asphalt.

Do the karts have gears?

No. The karts operate on a wet clutch system and gear changes are not required. Two pedals, left brake, right gas.

Can I bring my own driving suit? Yes

Is there a minimum age?
Yes. At this time, the age minimum is 15 for the Full-Size Karts with a height limit of 5'4" . Ages 8-14 can Race Junior Karts at Junior Kart Times . Junior between the ages of 8-11 MUST attend a Speedway Kart Training Class. Minors under the age of 18 must have parent present to sign release form or it can be printed and notarized if parent is not present. Age limit can change at any time for insurance reasons.

Can I bring my own kart in ?
No. Indoor karts are very different than outdoor karts. The safety and emission requirements for indoor karting are not met with outdoor karts. The karts used at Speedway are purposely built for indoor karting and are designed to maximize speed.

How big is the engine? The karts are equipped with a Honda 270cc 4-stroke engine with a wet clutch and 2:1 gear reduction. The engines are not governed.

Can two people ride at once? No, All karts are single seat.
