The
Red Bull Driver Search is a long-term program
designed to find, test and support budding
young American racing talent. The program
was launched in 2002 to directly address the
lack of American presence at the pinnacle
of motor racing: the Formula 1 World Championship.
The Red Bull Driver Search mission is both
to discover and support the "diamond
in the rough" lacking the knowledge and
contacts needed to embark on a career in racing
and to scout and spot promising young racers
with great potential and limited funding.
The
long-term goal is to have a steady group of
3 to 6 American drivers racing in Europe, groomed
to break into Formula 1 and compete for the
Championship.

Dodge racecars. A team of European racing experts
will preside over the event and select the drivers

at the Semi Final will be taken to the Red Bull
Driver Search Final. The Final will consist
of a fitness test at the Red Bull Training and
Diagnostics center in Austria and an intense
two-day test at a prestigious European racetrack.

in which both Scott Speed and Colin Fleming
raced and achieved remarkable success during
their 2004 season in Europe.
At the Final, the judges will be looking for
drivers with the skill and fortitude to join
the American members of the Red Bull Junior
